BATH IN WATERFALL

Whether you want to take a swim in a calm lake or swim in rushing waterfalls and go exploring among exciting rock formations, you have come to the right place when you visit Spegeldammen.

On sunny summer days, Spegeldammen in Fjällsjöälven is the perfect excursion destination for the whole family. Spread a picnic blanket in the green grass by the beach and set the lunch bag while the children play in the water. You have a little more adventurous swimming opportunities just below the dam where the dammed Fjällsjöälven comes to life again and flows on in Kilforsfallet to create a natural giant spa. Here you can climb around the cliffs with the slightly older children and discover large giant cauldrons and other formations that the rapids have carved out for thousands of years. Or challenge the rapids, find a good rock to settle on and let the water wash over you. Sitting under one of all the different small waterfalls with the water flowing around the body is pure meditation.

When you get down to the end of the rapids, the river opens into a generous lagoon surrounded by steep cliffs. A popular playground for all ages, which you can also choose to reach via a path through the forest, directly from the parking lot. If you instead want a magical experience, you should take the opportunity to take a dip in Spegeldammen on a late night in June, when the nights never get really dark. And maybe afterwards grill something good in the barbecue area between the parking lot and the water. The mirror pond has a bath for all tastes.
